AZERBAIJAN DOUBTS ARMENIA INTENTION TO ESTABLISH RELATIONS WITH TURKEY

PanARMENIAN.Net - Leaders of Azerbaijan consider that the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border «will increase the tension in the South Caucasus,» head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Aliyev Administration Novruz Mamedov stated in an interview with the Zaman Turkish newspaper. «We know well Armenia's policy. How did Yerevan's stance change after the opening of the air communication with Turkey?» he stated, noting that «Turkey making a step like that only increased Armenia's pressure.» «On the one hand, Armenia says she wishes to become closer with Ankara, on the other, she increases the military presence at the border with Turkey,» Novruz Mamedov said.
