Presidential hopeful Hayrikyan attack suspect arrested?

PanARMENIAN.Net - Police detained the gunman suspected of assassination attempt on a candidate in Armenia’s presidential elections Paruyr Hayrikyan, local media report.

In a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the spokesman of the National Security Service Artsvin Baghramyan neither confirmed nor denied the information, noting that an official statement will be released later on Friday, February 8.

On Thursday, Hayrikyan’s health has deteriorated. “Mr Hayrikyan’s health has impaired. Doctors have banned him from leaving hospital, at least for a few days,” Hayrikyan's HQ coordinator said.
