Petition for Genocide recognition posted on White House’s website

PanARMENIAN.Net - A petition calling for recognition of the Armenian Genocide was posted on the White House’s website.

The petition reminds that April 24, 2013 will mark the 98th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Empire in 1915.

It emphasizes that “so far, Washington has not recognized the Genocide at the official level” and “while U.S. President Barack Obama strongly condemned the Armenian Genocide and promised to recognize it, he didn’t keep his word.”

“I consider appropriate that the time has come for the official Washington to recognize the Armenian Genocide,” the author of the petition says.
