TALVITIE AND ALIYEV DISCUSSED KARABAKH SETTLEMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yesterday Azeri President Ilham Aliyev received EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Heikki Talvitie. Karabakh settlement, coming parliamentary election in Azerbaijan, EU-Azerbaijan cooperation and other issues were discussed in the course of the meeting. The same day H. Talvitie held a meeting with leaders of Liberty Azeri bloc Isa Ghambar, Ali Kerimli and Sardar Jalaloghlu, New Policy electoral bloc representative Eldar Namazov, leader of National Unity Movement Lala Shovket. The social and political situation in the country, conditions for candidates on the threshold of the parliamentary election and other matters were discussed during the meeting. The opposition representatives told H. Talvitie about unequal conditions for candidates and cases of the executive interfering with the electoral process, reported APA Azeri agency.
