57,6 % of Yerevan residents see Taron Margaryan as next mayorApril 27, 2013 - 11:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The public opinion polls conducted ahead of Yerevan city council elections suggest majority of the citizens see Taron Margaryan as the next mayor, head of GALLUP International Association Armenia Office said. “According to the public opinion poll, 57,6 % of the respondents see Taron Margaryan as Yerevan mayor, 5,9 % - Prosperous Armenia member Vartan Oskanian and 5,9 % - Armen Yeritsyan (Orinats Yerkir),” Mr. Navasardyan said, adding that the citizens gave highest assessment to the campaign conducted by the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA). “25.8% of the respondents deemed “Hello Yerevan!” as true opposition, 16,8 % - the Armenian National Congress (ANC) party, 14.2%- Prosperous Armenia and 9.1% - ARF Dashnaktsutyun. 35.7% of the respondents refused to answer the question, with 25 % saying there is no opposition in Armenia,” he said.
