Karabakh President attends opening of art center, stadium in Shushi![]() May 3, 2013 - 17:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The President of Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan participated in the opening of the Shushi art center, featuring a jubilee exhibit of famous sculptor Nikolai Nikoghosian. During the May 3 event, the President thanked the philanthropists Sergey, Karo and Kamo Sargsyans for financing the program and promoting the cultural development of the city. On the same day, the President took part in the opening of a newly built stadium in Shushi. President Sahakyan expressed gratitude to the chairman of Armenia’s football federation for implementing the project, noting the significance of the facility in healthy upbringing of the younger generation. Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, National Assembly speaker Ashot Ghoulyan, officials, guests from Armenia and abroad partook in the events, the Central Information Department at NKR President’s Office reported. ![]() ![]() The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington.
