KARABAKH SERVICEMAN KILLED BY AZERI SNIPER

PanARMENIAN.Net - January 28 a serviceman of the NKR defense army was killed by an Azeri sniper on the Aghdam stretch of the contact line between the Azeri and Nagorno Karabakh armed forces. Thereupon, as reported by "De Facto" agency, NKR deputy defense minister, major general Vitaly Balasanian said that "the criminal action took place approximately 3 hours after the monitoring held by the OSCE mission in the mentioned region that day." In the general's words, the NKR defense ministry evaluates the Azeri party's move as a violation of the cease-fire regime. V.Balasanian noted that it was Azerbaijan's second breach of the truce regime on that lot within January. He reminded that an attempt by an Azeri diversion and intelligence group to burst through into the Karabakh territory was registered in the same region January 8. Today the NKR foreign ministry lodged a note of protest to the accredited Stepanakert office of personal representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office due to the fact of the murder of the Karabakh military.
