Documentary on Armenia Presented in Canada

PanARMENIAN.Net - December 18 the Armenian Embassy in Canada with the support of Armenian organizations of Ottawa organized a presentation screening of Long Way Home film at the Canadian MFA, reported the Press Service of the Armenian MFA. The 60-minute documentary tells the story of Canadian Armenian famous opera singer Isabel Bayrakdaryan's first visit to Armenia. The film is shot by Stormy Nights Canadian Company by request of the Public TV of Canada, as well as with the support of the Armenian Embassy in Canada. Members of the Canadian Senate and House of Commons and other supreme officials were present at the presentation. In his final speech Armenian Ambassador to Canada Ara Papyan noted the importance of cultural Armenian-Canadian relations. He remarked that owing to Isabel Bayrakdaryan's visit to Armenia cultural cooperation fields were formed and a number of musical projects are at the stage of summarization at present. A. Papyan specially underscored the fact that the Canadian MFA auditorium was provided for the film screening. The film Long Way Home will be shown on the Public TV of Canada January 19, 2006.
