Armenia Recognized Country with «Mostly Liberal Economy» Again

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Wall Street Journal and Heritage Foundation among 157 countries of the world Armenia is the 27th on liberty of economy. 10 parameters were taken into account when making assessments on a 10-point scale. These include protection of property rights, tax policy, fiscal policy, shadow market, etc. Countries are divided into 4 groups: liberal, mostly liberal, not liberal and oppressed. Armenia gained 2.26 points and was included in the group of mostly liberal countries. Armenia was the 41st in 2005.



As of the rest of the countries of the region, Georgia was 68th, Azerbaijan 123rd, Turkey 85th and Iran 156th.
