NKR Head Doesn't See Any Progress from Azerbaijani Leadership

PanARMENIAN.Net - "We want to be optimistic but life will show how close we are to the settlement of the conflict, since the process does not depend on us only. We are ready to follow our way is of our opponent follows his. From this viewpoint I do not see any progress from the Azeri leadership," NKR President Arkady Ghukasyan told journalists in Stepanakert when commenting on the possibility of the soonest settlement of the Karabakh conflict. When touching upon the possible deployment of peacekeeping contingent in the conflict region the NKR President noted, "It is a normal process but presently the settlement of the problem is being discussed. In case the parties come to an agreement one of its items will provide for the deployment of peacekeeping troops. However taking into account the unsettlement of other issues it is premature to speak of it now." At that the NKR leader stressed that Karabakh is most of all interested in the peaceful settlement of the conflict, reported IA Regnum.
