BOOK ABOUT ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN OTTOMAN TURKEY PUBLISHED IN USJuly 21, 2003 - 21:59 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Publishing house of the Weins University (US) brought out a book titled "Armenian pogroms, 1895-1898" under the editorship of Armenian ambassador to the US, Doctor of History Science Arman Kirakosian. As reported by "De-Facto" agency, Senator Bob Dole in the preface of the book specifically said that "the documents published brightly describe the conditions of Armenians living in Turkey and tell about one of the most tragic pages in history". 35 articles by American diplomats, journalists-propagandists, religious and public figures as well as scientists whose works were published in the American press in 1895-1896 are presented in the collection. Part of the articles is devoted to the history of Armenia, church, living conditions of Armenians in Ottoman Empire as well as attempts of the American Christians to facilitate the state of Armenians residing in Ottoman Turkey and struggling for their independence.
