Netanyahu says Israel dealing with ‘new Middle East’ June 10, 2013 - 15:56 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Monday, June 10 that his country was dealing with “a new Middle East.” “We are seeing a new Middle East that is raging and volatile,” the premier said. “We are seeing this on all of the fronts, particularly in the north with Syria.” Syrian President Bashar Assad was quoted earlier Monday as saying that he was serious about opening a front against Israel on the Golan Heights. “We are dealing with these developments with determination,” Netanyahu said of the ongoing situation in Syria. “This requires us to protect the security of our citizens.”   Top stories Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
