PACE Disappointed with Absence of Breakthrough at Kocharian-Aliyev Meeting

PanARMENIAN.Net - René van der Linden, President of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly said he is greatly disappointed with the absence of breakthrough during the latest round of talks held by the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents. The region will not develop and children will not have future unless the Karabakh conflict is settled, he said and called the parties to "resume the discussions as soon as possible. René van der Linden noted that the OSCE Minsk Group enjoys full support of PACE. He also informed that the Ad Hoc Committee on Nagorno Karabakh will sit in March to discuss the ways of intensification of parliamentary diplomacy at the meetings with the speakers of the Armenian and Azeri parliament scheduled for May 2006
