NKR Parliament Made Statement Dedicated to 18th Anniversary of Sumgait Tragedy

PanARMENIAN.Net - The parliamentary factions of the NKR National Assembly made a statement on the 18th anniversary of the Sumgait tragedy. It says that the Sumgait carnage has not received a proper political and legal assessment either by the Soviet government or the international community and this impunity caused new grave crimes against Armenians. "Azerbaijan does not abandon anti-Armenian propaganda proved by the statements by Azeri high rank officials on the military resolution of the conflict. The NKR NA statement notes that people who committed the Sumgait pogroms are rated as heroes and Ramil Safarov who hacked to death Armenian officer Gurgen Margaryan is declared the Man of Year, what questions the "system of values" of the neighbor state.
