SARKIS ASSADOURIAN APPOINTED PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY OF CANADIAN MINISTER OF CITIZENSHIP

PanARMENIAN.Net - Sarkis Assadourian, chairman of the Canada-Armenia parliamentary friendship group, senior member of the standing committee on foreign affairs and international trade was today named by prime minister Jean Chrétien as Parliamentary Secretary to Dennis Coderre, minister of citizenship and immigration. Let us note that Assadourian is the first Canadian parliamentarian of Armenian origin, who has been elected as a member of the parliament three times and has been a member of various committees of the supreme legislative body of Canada.
