Oskanian Held Several Meetings with U.S. Top Officials in Washington

PanARMENIAN.Net - During his 2-day visit to Washington Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian held a number of meetings with the U.S. top officials, reported the RA MFA press office. The Armenian Minister met with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Daniel Fried and Deputy Assistant Matthew Bryza. The interlocutors discussed bilateral cooperation including the programs contributing to the development of economy and referred to some regional issues, energy security and diversification of energy sources. Besides, Vartan Oskanian met with OSCE Minsk Group U.S. Co-chair Steven Mann. The talks focused on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. The RA FM reiterated Armenia is ready to settle the Karabakh problem via talks. March 28 Vartan Oskanian addressed the Washington National Club. March 29 the Minister made for New York to meet UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and other officials.
