Charles Aznavour gives another performance in Israel

PanARMENIAN.Net - Tel Aviv's Nokia Arena hosted a concert of world-famed chansonnier Charles Aznavour Saturday, March 15.

Aznavour performed in Israel on November 23 last year when he promised to come back.

The singer arrived to Israel on March 14 with his grandchild. A bar mitzvah ceremony at Jerusalem’s Wailing Wall was held for the boy whose mother is Jewish.

On the evening of March 14 the chansonnier, along with several Israeli musicians, was invited to a dinner at the residence of French envoy.

Ahead of his last year’s concert, Aznavour had given a news conference in Tel Aviv. “We, Armenian and Jewish people have been through so many tragedies that it’s only love of life that kept us from annihilation… We are born to die, but before, we need to live our lives to the full,” the singer had said.

He had also reminded the audience that there are Catholics, Protestants, Jews and Muslims in his family, who live together peacefully, making him believe that the world peace is possible regardless of faith and political affinity.

The singer confessed to NEWSru.co.il that he values the intimate atmosphere at his concerts where he can share his joys and troubles with the audience, with complete sincerity that he offers to his fans making him stronger.
