NATO PA Not Going to Replace OSCE MGJuly 13, 2006 - 18:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Pierre Lellouche's proposals on settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, that were presented to Armenian and Azeri Presidents, contain nothing extraordinary, political scientist, Turkic studies specialist Ruben Safrastyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. In his words, Lellouche's proposal has at least three causes. «Firstly, Karabakh conflict is not solved up to now. Secondly, the OSCE MG for settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict was not able to do anything yet. Thirdly, the EU desire to join conflict settlement in the South Caucasus and strengthen its positions,» he said. At that Safrastyan noted that the NATO PA is not going to replace the OSCE MG or change the format of the Karabakh talks. «These are merely proposals,» the Armenian political scientist underscored.
