Armenian Population Numbers 3.2 Million People

PanARMENIAN.Net - By July1, 2006 the population of Armenia made 3 million 219.4 thousand people against 3 million 215.8 thousand people registered by July 1, 2005, says the report of the RA National Statistics Service. According to the report, the population growth increased with 0.2 thousand against the index of the beginning of 2006. At that 1.5 million are men and 1.6 million are women. 600.3 thousand are children, 349 thousand of them are boys and 315.5 thousand are girls.



The number of young people aged 15-29 made 879.6 thousand, 441 thousand of them are men and 438.6 are women. 1.3 million are people aged 30-64, 624.6 thousand of them are men and 704 thousand are women.



The number of people over 65 made 346.5 thousand, 139.5 thousand of them are men and 207 thousand of them are women, reported Newsarmenia.ru.
