Weeks ago, Golden Fish sturgeon farm for black caviar production was launched in Mataghis village of Martakert area of the Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) Republic.

The fish and the caviar will hit the markets in three and five years respectively, Golden Fish representatives said.

NKR Prime Minister Araik Harutyunyan, as well as Swiss-Armenian investor, Vartan Sirmakes visited the farm Tuesday, July 21.

"The government does everything possible to support the development of border areas. This ambitious project will not only provide the inhabitants of surrounding villages with jobs, but will also become one of the projects pushing Artsakh's economy forward. We are always ready to support such initiatives, especially those emerging as a result of foreign investments," PM Harutyunyan said.
