Armenia exports grow against 20% drop in foreign trade turnover

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $3,041 million in the first 8 months of 2015, decreasing by 19,5% against the same period in 2014, the country’s National Statistical Service reports.

The exports totaled $967 million, up 0,5% from last year, while imports amounted to $2,074 million, dropping by 24,3%.

In January-July 2015, Armenia’s Economic Activity Index increased by 3,9% against last year’s results. The gross agricultural output totaled 13,5%, the volume of construction climbed by 0,2%, the volume of services showed a 2,2% upsurge, with electricity production up by 3,5%.

The volume of trade turnover fell by 5.4%.
