New TUMO Center to open in Vanadzor in 2016

PanARMENIAN.Net - A new TUMO Center for Creative Technologies will be opening in Vanadzor in 2016. The Armenian government came up with the idea, while the Simonian Educational Foundation is set to implement the project.

The center will have the capacity to host some 1000-2000 students, aged 12-18, who will focus on web development, game development, animation and filmmaking. Besides, they will study complementary fields such as robotics, 3D modelling, photography, graphic design, music, drawing and more. The students will also have a chance to learn from leading professionals from both the TUMO Yerevan center and abroad.

TUMO Vanadzor will have no tuition fee, just like the other four TUMO centers in Yerevan, Dilijan, Gyumri and Stepanakert. TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is a free of charge after-school program, which gives students access to skills necessary to succeed in the modern world. The first TUMO center opened in Yerevan in 2011, followed by the second in Dilijan in 2013, and another one in Gyumri in early 2015, effectively expanding the TUMO mission to the various provinces of Armenia.
