Armenian wrestlers win gold, silver, bronze at European Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian athletes Varsham Boranyan and Karapet Chalyan won gold and bronze medals, respectively, at the Riga-hosted European Wrestling Championships.

In the final round, Boranyan (71kg) beat Serbian sportsman Aleksandar Maksimovic 3:0, while Chalyan (75kg) gained victory over Elvin Mursaliyev of Azerbaijan.

Earlier, Artur Aleksanyan (98kg) and Roman Amoyan (59kg) defeated Russians Nikita Melnikov and Mingiyan Semenov, respectively, to take a silver medal each.
