Italian, Russian Foreign Ministers set to meet in Moscow

PanARMENIAN.Net - Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni will arrive in Moscow on Friday, March 25, a spokesperson for the Italian Foreign Ministry told RIA Novosti.

Gentiloni is set to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to discuss the situation in Syria and Libya, as well as issues concerning bilateral cooperation, the spokesperson said.

In January, Gentiloni met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich in Italy to discuss economic relations between the two countries, Sputnik says.

Italy’s foreign minister has repeatedly stressed the negative economic impact of sanctions imposed against Russia by the West over Moscow’s alleged involvement in the Ukraine conflict.
