On March 26, at around 7:30 am, the rival used TR-107 rocket launchers to shell the Karabakh village of Taghavard, situated some 5 km deep behind the frontline. As a result, a civilian, 27-year-old Yervand Firyan was wounded while engaged in agricultural activities. Karabakh troops took retaliatory measure to suppress the rival’s aggression. In a statement, the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Ministry condemned Azerbaijan’s escalation of the situation and declared that Baku's military political leadership bears the whole responsibility for the consequences of the current situation.
