Astana to hold talks over joining Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railwayFebruary 27, 2007 - 17:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Kazakhstan will hold talks over joining the project of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway construction, Marat Tazhin, the Kazakh Foreign Minister stated. Currently Kazakhstan is busy with examining technical part of this project. In particular, this issue became one of the key topics during negotiations between the Kazakh and Azeri FMs, who currently is in Kazakhstan with a working visit. E. Mamedyarov said that Azerbaijan intends to involve Kazakhstan in the construction of the railway. The total budget of the project is $420 million, Azeri Media reports.
