President Sargsyan attends CIS summitSeptember 17, 2016 - 12:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President Serzh Sargsyan on Friday, September 16 participated in the session of the Council of the CIS heads of state in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. At the session, the leaders discussed political, economic and humanitarian cooperation among member states, as well as issues concerning existing the challenges. Also, the Presidents signed a declaration on the 25th anniversary of the Organization, and another one on the 70th anniversary of the Nuremberg trials completion. The leaders agreed to designate 2017 as a year of family, and 2018 as that of culture. Among the documents signed on Friday were the decision on conducting census of CIS member states for the 2020 phase, convention on the development of interregional cooperation, a decision on the CIS involvement in the fight against terrorism and extremism, as well as on the use of IT technologies in fighting crime.
