PACE invites President to speak about Armenia at Council of EuropeNovember 24, 2016 - 11:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Co-rapporteurs of the PACE Monitoring Committee for Armenia Alan Meale and Giuseppe Galati on Wednesday, November 23 invited President Serzh Sargsyan to speak about Armenia at the Council of Europe. At a meeting in Yerevan on Thursday, Sargsyan stressed the importance of summits that follow the fact-finding mission, which, according to him "enable discussing the reforms currently underway in Armenia, the achievements made in a certain period, also getting an assessment by people familiar with European values." The co-rapporteurs, in turn, hailed the fast-paced and consistent process of establishing democracy in Armenia, citing, however, small problems that need to be tackled. "We'd like to officially invite you to the Council of Europe to talk about Armenia at the PACE," the co-rapporteurs said.
