VivaCell-MTS awarded Accessible Mobile Operator prize

PanARMENIAN.Net - At the Accessible Places Award 2017, VivaCell-MTS was named the winner in the category Accessible Mobile Operator, receiving an award for providing accessible service centers.

The award ceremony took place in the framework of Promoting Participation and the Expansion of Inclusion Opportunities for Disabled Persons project. The aim of the ceremony is to raise awareness among the public about information concerning accessible places and encourage the companies that provide accessible infrastructure and services in Armenia.

During the event, the jury recognized as most accessible the services and buildings of 10 public and private institutions, including those of VivaCell-MTS.

"Throughout the 11 years of operation, VivaCell-MTS has given a significant importance to physical accessibility issue in Armenia, thus designing a unique approach for meeting the needs of people with disabilities through equipping its service centers all around Armenia and rural communities with corresponding facilities," the company said in a statement.

The Accessible Places Award ceremony is organized by Armenian Camp NGO with the support of the US Department of State Public Affairs Section.
