Addressing the Congress of the European People’s Party in Malta, Sargsyan cited the completion of negotiations on a new legal document regulating the relations as a success story. “It will open up a new page in the relations between Armenia and the European Union, and consolidate institutional foundations, establishing new opportunities for the further expansion and deepening of our cooperation,” Sargsyan said. “Armenia-European Union partnership is a model of a successful partnership that resulted from Armenia’s consistent European agenda on the one hand and the tailor-made approaches of the recent years in EU’s cooperation with the Eastern Partnership nations on the other.”
