Armenian National Assembly elects deputy speakersMay 19, 2017 - 14:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Eduard Sharmazanov and Arpine Hovhannisyan from the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and Mikayel Melkumyan from Tsarukyan bloc were elected deputy speakers of the 6th Convocation National Assembly. The parliament voted by secret ballot on Friday, May 19. Ara Babloyan, also from RPA, was on Thursday elected the speaker of the National Assembly. The 6th Convocation National Assembly consists of 105 lawmakers, including 58 from RPA, 31 from Tsarukyan bloc, nine from YELQ, and seven from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation - Dashnaktsutyun.
