Mkhitaryan ready to prove he deserves more PL involvement

PanARMENIAN.Net - Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan can prove to Jose Mourinho that he is ready for more Premiere League action, the Manchester Evening News said in an article on Tuesday, September 26.

The midfielder isn't having a poor season by any means - and with one goal and five assists the Armenian is contributing to the Reds' impressive start to the campaign.

It was first the Europa League where Mkhitaryan made his impact, having virtually made the competition his own, the article says.

Twelve months ago the new £27m buy from Borussia Dortmund was enduring tough love from Mourinho as he bedded down in the English game.

It was the European scene that sparked him into life.

He had featured in 10 matches for United before breaking his goal duck.

But in Premiere League games, the 28-year-old hasn't been a stand-out player for United boss Jose Mourinho. He has been taken off in every one of United's six Premier League matches this season.

Mourinho clearly wants more improvement in the Premier League and the fact that the United boss has subbed him in all those matches suggests he is not yet getting the full Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

But as the Reds fly out to Moscow for Wednesday, September 27's second Champions League group match against CSKA, Mkhitaryan might find the platform again to really kickstart his season.
