In the Serbian capital Belgrade, some 7,000 people gathered in Republic Square, carrying Serbian flags and singing anti-Albanian slogans. Several thousand Serbs also gathered in their north Kosovo stronghold of Mitrovica, shouting "Kosovo is Serbia" and marching to the bridge across the River Ibar that divides them from the Albanian south of the town, Reuters reports.
