Putin: we are hopeful that one of initial visits of President-elect will be paid to Russia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian President Vladimir Putin invited President-elect Serzh Sargsyan to Russia. "We are hopeful that one of the initial visits of the President-elect will be paid to Russia. I would like to send my invitation to him," Mr Putin said at a meeting with Armenia's President Robert Kocharian.



The Russian President thanked Robert Kocharian for his contribution to the development of political and economic relations between the two states.



For his part, Mr Kocharian said, "Judging by the recent years, relations have considerably developed. Armenia appreciates Russia's attitude and it's important that economic cooperation has become the basic element of bilateral cooperation," RIA Novosti reports.
