PanARMENIAN.Net - In the last two winter and summer Olympic Games, doping control officers from different countries were invited to ensure high-quality drug tests for athletes. In 2018, Armenian doping officer Anzhela Sahakyan will work at the Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Anti-doping organizations receive a letter of invitation before the Olympic Games, offering them to send detailed information about knowledge, working experience and other professional qualities of officers.

“Since Armenia’s Anti-Doping Organization has enough experience and qualified doping officers, we decided to participate in the competition announced for the Winter Olympics,” Head of the Anti-Doping Service of Armenia, Doctor of Biology, Professor Areg Hovhannisyan said, according to the National Olympic Committee.

“One of our leading doping officers, Anzhela Sahakyan, submitted a fully completed application, detailing her education and knowledge. Without any additional questions and problems, Anzhela was selected among 45 officers.”
