Novruz Mammadov: Azeri President doesn't mind meeting Sargsyan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev doesn't mind meeting Armenia's President-elect Serzh Sargsyan.



"If the mediators issue a proposal and the Azerbaijani President attends NATO summit, a meeting is possible," said Novruz Mammadov, head of

international relations department of Azerbaijani President's Office.



"President Aliyev told OSCE MG U.S. Co-chair Matt Bryza that he welcomes continuation of talks with Armenia," he said, Trend Azeri news agency reports.



President Robert Kocharian of Armenia and Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan last met in Saint Petersburg in July 2007.



Armenia's Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan, who won the February 19 presidential election, will assume the office on April 9.
