RA President confident of development of strategic relations with RussiaJune 24, 2008 - 15:52 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev describes relations with Armenia as allied. "I am hopeful that our talks will answer the spirit of strategic and inter-allied relations between Armenia and Russia," Mr. Medvedev said opening a meeting with his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan in Kremlin. "We will consider political and economic issues and touch upon social and cultural interaction," he said. For his part, President Sargsyan voiced confidence that strategic relations between the two states will develop. He also invited the Russian leader to Armenia, RIA Novosti reports. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
