Azeri Liberal Democratic Party calls on leadership to stop CIS membership

PanARMENIAN.Net - Fuad Aliyev, chairman of the Azerbaijani Liberal Democratic Party said the formation of a CSTO rapid reaction force will "destabilize the region."

"Formation of a military bloc is a muscle show for NATO, Azerbaijan and Georgia. Our party opposed Azerbaijan's joining NATO but it does not mean that the country should admit formation of Russia's military bloc and break off relations with the West," he said.

"Official Baku's restraint on CSTO RRF formation is harmful for Azerbaijan. We call on our leadership to think over stopping its CIS membership," Aliyev said, Day.az reports.
