Azerbaijan hits Karabakh capital with missiles – Ombudsman

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan struck the residential areas of Nagorno-Karabakh's capital Stepanakert with missiles, Karabakh Human Rights Defender Artak Beglaryan said on Friday, October 10 morning – an hour before a humanitarian ceasefire enters into force.

Beglaryan said there is no data on casualties yet.

"Baku uses the same style of War Crimes till the very last moment," Beglaryan said in a tweet.

Also Friday, Azerbaijan launched a drone strike near Yeritsvank community of Karabakh (Artakh), as well as the Artsvanik settlement near Kapan, Armenia, Armenian Defense Ministry spokeswoman Shushan Stepanyan said on Saturday.

Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey, launched a large-scale offensive against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27, shelling Armenian positions and civilian settlements with large caliber weapons and rocket systems. Armenia and Karabakh have introduced martial law and total mobilization. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. International and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages, as well as the iconic Ghazanchetsots Cathedral in Shushi.
