Azerbaijan fired cluster munitions on Shushi, Karabakh Ombudsman says

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijani military fired cluster munitions on the city of Shushi, the town of Martuni and other settlements on Tuesday, November 3, Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Human Rights Defender Artak Beglaryan told a press conference on Wednesday.

Beglaryan said the night was tense in Shushi, where civilian objects were targeted, residents were injured and quite a lot of destruction was caused overnight.

The Azeri forces fired rockets on Stepanakert, Karabakh's capital on Tuesday evening, injuring two passers-by.

According to Beglaryan, 46 civilians have been killed and 144 more injured in Artsakh since the beginning of hostilities on September 27.

Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and terrorist mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. Foreign and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages.

Donations can be made to Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, which has launched a fundraising campaign to support humanitarian efforts in Karabakh.
