Armenia ex-President's wife Rita Sargsyan died at 58

PanARMENIAN.Net - The wife of third Armenian President, Rita Sargsyan, has died at the age of 58, the third President's office said Friday, November 20.

It was reported earlier that Sargsyan had contracted Covid-19 and had been hospitalized in a critical state. According to some media reports, the former First Lady was transported to Germany for treatment.

Sargsyan was born in Stepanakert in 1962. She served as the chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of Donate Life charitable foundation, which helps children with leukemia and other serious diseases. Sargsyan established Aragil Foundation in 2011, which supports socially vulnerable couples to have children through artificial insemination. She also helped establish the Autism National Foundation in 2012.
