Official: Azerbaijan keeps undermining Karabakh search mission

PanARMENIAN.Net - The search and recovery of bodies and remains of the victims of the recent war in Nagorno-Karabakh have not resumed yet due to Azerbaijan's failure to authorize the mission in territories under its control.

Hunan Tadevosyan from Karabakh's State Emergency Service told PanARMENIAN.Net Saturday, February 27 that the Azerbaijani side continues to undermine the process.

Baku has indefinitely suspended the mission since February 15, offering no particular explanation for the decision.

Since November 13, the Karabakh rescue teams have found the bodies and remains of 1485 people, including dozens of civilians, who had failed to leave their homes when their settlements went under Azerbaijan's control. Family members and parents of missing soldiers were participating in the process too.
