Karabakh suspends search for bodies due to bad weather

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nagorno-Karabakh rescue teams have suspended the search for the bodies or remains of the victims of the 44-day war due to bad weather, Karabakh authorities report.

The mission is expected to resume on March 15, the State Emergency Service of Karabakh said on March 13.

Since November 13, the rescue teams have found the bodies and remains of 1496 people, including dozens of civilians, who had failed to leave their homes when their settlements went under Azerbaijan's control. Family members and parents of missing soldiers are participating in the process too.

Baku had indefinitely suspended the mission in the last two weeks of February in territories under its control, offering no particular explanation for the decision.
