Karabakh conflict: Russia says in favor of "all for all" POW exchangeApril 3, 2021 - 17:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Moscow is in favor of exchanging of prisoners of war between the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides on the principle of “all for all”, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergei Kopyrkin told reporters on Saturday, April 3. "The work, of course, must be completed. The Russian Federation is actively involved in this process, so that the principle that we talked about earlier – "all for all" – is implemented after all," Kopyrkin said. Several dozen Armenian POWs have returned from Azerbaijan so far, although Armenian officials say many more people were being held in Baku. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev claims, however, that persons being kept in Baku are not prisoners of war but “terrorists and saboteurs”. Officials and human rights advocates from the Armenian side, however, maintain Azerbaijan is still holding hundreds of people hostage, pledging to submit evidence proving the capture of said persons to international agencies and courts.
