Azerbaijan, Turkey hold joint drills in Lachin

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijani and Turkish armies have launched joint tactical exercises with live firing in Lachin, a Nagorno-Karabakh region that came under Azerbaijan's control during the 44-day war in late 2020.

The main goal of the drills is "to improve interaction and combat coordination during combat operations, including the development of commanders' skills in making military decisions and managing subunits," Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Turkish and Azerbaijani commandos are also holding joint military exercises in Baku, which will run through September 12.
