Erdogan made the remarks when speaking at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly on Thursday, September 23 about a proposed platform involving five or six countries in the region. Erdogan said the platform will help establish communication from Turkey's Igdir to Azerbaijan, possibly referencing a proposed railroad route through Armenia. According to him, positive signals have been coming from Pashinyan regarding the matter. The Turkish leader said he hoped to nudge the region towards peace and said he would discuss the issue with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the end of September.
