Official: Only 97 out of 3000 hospitalized Covid patients are vaccinated

PanARMENIAN.Net - Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan has said coronavirus infection rates are somewhat dropping in Armenia. According to her, the change comes after fall vacations started in school and students switched to distance learning in universities.

The situation with hospital beds continues to remain tense, though the number of people waiting for hospitalization is decreasing too. According to her, only 97 out of a total of 3000 patients receiving treatment in medical institutions have been vaccinated.

Avanesyan said 852,355 people, including 50 children below the age of 18 have received the shots in the country so far.

The Minister said earlier that 12% of Armenia's adult population has been vaccinated since the outbreak of the virus almost two years ago.
