Turkey, Azerbaijan could start production of combat aircraft

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey has reportedly offered Azerbaijan and Pakistan to join the production of national combat aircraft.

"Our doors for the joint production of national combat aircraft are open to countries that want to cooperate with us," President of Turkey's Defense Industries Ismail Demir said in an interview with CNN Turk on Friday, December 17.

"Negotiations on this issue are underway with countries such as Azerbaijan, Pakistan, we propose to combine our efforts."

Back in 2017, BAE Systems and Turkish Aerospace Industries signed a Heads of Agreement to collaborate on the first development phase of an indigenous fifth-generation fighter jet for the Turkish Air Force – TF-X.
