Azerbaijan violates Karabakh ceasefire, pins blame on Armenian side

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijani military has again violated the ceasefire and targeted Nagorno-Karabakh positions near the settlements of Shosh and Taghavard, the Artsakh Defense Army reports.

"The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has issued a statement, according to which the units of the Defense Army have opened fire on the Azerbaijani positions located near the villages of Shosh and Taghavard on February 20 and 21," the Artsakh Defense Army said on February 21.

"The facts mentioned in the statement of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan are completely false. The ceasefire was actually violated by the Azerbaijani units in said area, who opened indiscriminate fire in the direction of the Defense Army positions."

No casualties have been reported in Azerbaijan's ceasefire violation.

The Defense Army said Russian peacekeepers deployed in Karabakh since the end of the war in fall 2020 have been notified about the incident.
