Armenia allocates $1.6M to arrange European Boxing ChampionshipsApril 15, 2022 - 17:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The government decided on Friday, April 15 to allocate over AMD 750 million (some $1.6 million) to arrange the European Boxing Championships in Yerevan from May 21 to 31. Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Vahram Dumanyan said that due to the lack of time for the preparation the championships, it was decided to transfer the money to Factory Production LLC, an even management company tasked to organize the tournament. According to Dumanyan, about 400 people from some 40 countries, including 280 athletes and their staff, are expected to take part in the championship.
